| Biography |
It was in the summer of 1999 that sean was first introduced to happyhardcore, and was instantly hooked on the sounds of hixxy, sunset, and ramos (as well as his personal favorites, brisk & sy). sean was later introduced to the rave scene and was not only hooked on the sounds, but now the movement and the vibe as well.
under the guidance of his best friend, sean took an attempt at mixing and found a new love. over the next few months he scraped up every penny he could find in an attempt to afford his own setup. eventually, he was able to get a set of tables, and began practicing regularly. he took on the name of "shasta" from his IRC nickname which was short for "shasta mcnasty", (as well as being a favorite soda of his as a kid).
after improving his skills, shasta was noticed by inkblotch.com, and givin a home with the crew as the first exclusive inkblotch dj. he has since been rocking the arizona scene from the nile to the desert with his happyhardcore sound, and trying to live up to the standards set by some of arizona's greats, such as wishbone, starr, & nimh. shasta is a name to watch for in the local scene. with his seemingly unquenchable thirst for improvement, things can only get better.
planning to attend the 'conservatory of recording arts & science' in the near future, shasta hopes to break into the recording industry with the dream of working with the music he has come to love. with his sights set on sound engineering as well as track production, shasta hopes to one day play his own blend of unique happyhardcore for the masses.
