Biography
Adam "Metrognome" Hale first entered the rave scene back on Christmas Night 1998, when his best friend Ben took him to Jesus was an Alien in St. Louis. Immediately in love with the sounds and feelings of raving, he hopped into the scene with both feet. Adopting the pseudonym "Sir Tigger" and going full-bore candykid, you could find Adam creating happy havoc all around the Midwest for the next year or so. It was during this time that he was introduced (again, thanks to Ben) to a genre known as "happy hardcore" and fell head-over-heels in love with it.
Growing increasingly dissatisfied with the drama quickly overtaking his home St. Louis scene, Adam started to fade away from raving and returned to his punk rock roots. In time, he gave up raving completely, and for a long while forgot all about the sounds and people he had discovered.

Then, in the summer of 2000, a wonderful thing happened: Y.E.S.fest in Paoli, IN. Adam was bit reluctant to go, having not attended a rave in several months, but eventually his friends talked him into it and he headed off into the southern Indiana hills. While there, he was again overwhelmed by the feelings he had initially experienced in his first exposure to raving. The most memorable occurence of the weekend, however, was a set by Indianapolis's Johnny P, rocking the hard-n-happy sounds that worked their way down into Adam's soul. It was then he realized that what he really wanted to do was make this music, and so upon returning home he raided his bank account and bought some 1200s, a mixer, and some records.

Since then, Adam has been working hard on perfecting his skills and making inroads with the People Who Matter (tm) via the HappyUSA e-list and the American Cheese message board. He hopes to one day start his own record label and perhaps even a record store, specializing in hardcore and d-n-b.
